Green Travel Data, formerly Green Travel Pledge, is live for GB National Rail journeys. Send GREEN-TRAVEL-DATA; the former name still works.

The Rail Delivery Group renamed Green Travel Pledge to Green Travel Data (GTD), and SQUAKE's methodology follows: use "methodology": "GREEN-TRAVEL-DATA". The former name GREEN-TRAVEL-PLEDGE is still accepted and calculates the same way.

We’ve updated SQUAKE’s Rail Emissions Model (REM) to version 2.7. This release refreshes and expands the verified rail emission factor dataset across all five REM tiers, updates train-type and detour-factor coverage, and improves consistency across REM calculations.

The Travel Impact Model (TIM) evolves to Version 3.0.0, introducing significant functionality enhancements focused on transparency, regulatory alignment, and climate impact completeness. This version incorporates contrail warming impact estimation, supports the Flight Emissions Label (FEL) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and introduces optional logistics hub emissions in line with ISO 14083.

Webhook payloads drop the wrapper data key from July 1, 2025.
